A first look at the Willow Tree Hub

When we launched the Willow Tree Hub Appeal, we had a simple vision: to create a dedicated space where families experiencing baby loss, or pregnancy after loss, can receive the care and support they need.

Now, seeing the first architect’s designs, that vision is starting to feel even more real.

The Willow Tree Hub will provide a calm, private and compassionate space away from the busy clinical environment, where families can receive specialist support during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

The Hub will also become home to our Rainbow Clinic, supporting families through pregnancy after loss and helping them feel reassured and cared for throughout their journey.

Since launching the appeal, we have been overwhelmed by the support from our local community. Fundraisers, donors, local businesses, schools and community groups have all played their part in helping us work towards our £200,000 target.

One of the most recent highlights was A Celebration of Hope, held at Parr Hall. Hundreds of children from 13 Catholic primary schools across Warrington came together to perform to an audience of around 600 people for an evening filled with music, community and hope.

Together, they raised an incredible £6,633.

It was a wonderful example of what can happen when our community comes together. Seeing so many young people taking part, alongside their teachers, families, volunteers, sponsors and supporters, was incredibly special.

And this is just one of the many ways people have supported the appeal.

From running marathons and taking on challenges to Everest Base Camp, football matches, golf days and the Butterfly Team’s incredible 250,000-step challenge, every fundraiser has their own story and their own reason for wanting to make a difference.

The McGuire family’s Beer Festival and Bangor to Beni fundraiser have also made a fantastic contribution, while the incredibly generous donation from Buckley Street Independent Methodist Church has helped move the appeal significantly closer to its goal.

We're not yet at the taret, but every donation, fundraiser and act of support is helping us bring the Willow Tree Hub closer to becoming a reality.
