Say hello to our WHH Charity team!
The team at WHH Charity work passionately to make a lasting difference to the lives of our patients, families, carers and staff across Warrington and Halton.
We are experienced in ensuring that every donation made to our hospitals is put to the best use to enhance the care provided by our dedicated hospital teams. We organise appeals, events and campaigns and are on hand to support you with your fundraising ideas, provide advice on making a donation or help to organise an event.
If you would like to support WHH Charity, need advice or are interested in joining our team, please get in touch.
You can also check out our volunteering opportunities.
Helen Higginson
Head of fundraising
Helen has been leading WHH Charity since 2016, bringing her extensive experience in community engagement and fundraising from her previous role at a hospice charity in Chester.
With a diploma in fundraising, Helen is passionate about ensuring the charity supports outstanding healthcare for the community through fundraising, grant-making and volunteering initiatives. Outside of work, Helen loves adventuring with her family and is an avid traveller.

Jane Breeze
Charity administrator
Jane joined WHH Charity seven years ago following a 32-year career in industry where she rose from secretary to UK sales support manager. Jane brought her skills and passion to her role as our charity administrator, where she supports the team part-time.
Her hobbies include making jewellery, baking and decorating cakes, and exploring the outdoors with her two lively dogs.

Audrey George
Charity volunteer
Audrey dedicated 19 years to Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals’ pharmacy before retiring and deciding to give back as a volunteer. She now spends three days a week supporting the charity office and welcome desk, fundraising, and assisting patients and visitors.
In her downtime Audrey enjoys cinema trips, museum visits, cooking, walking and listening to music.

Carole Baker
Community ambassador
Carole, a former HR professional and primary school teacher, became involved with WHH Charity in 2018 through her love of knitting. Now she works closely with wards to meet their knitting needs, creating patterns and liaising with local knitting groups.
Outside of her charity work, Carole enjoys singing, playing the flute, swimming, yoga and spending time with her family.

Pam Pollard
Garden crew volunteer
Pam, a former computer programmer and payroll manager, started volunteering for WHH Charity in 2015. From packing donation bags to abseiling for charity events, Pam has done it all and her current passion is maintaining the remembrance and dementia hospital gardens.
When she’s not volunteering Pam is learning to ring church bells, play the ukulele and run a not-for-profit swim club.
